Track update from Coach Feiden:
Both the boys and girls track teams took home the 1st place plaques from the North Platte Invitational. On a cool evening that saw the boy's team take eight 1st place medals as well as earning medals in 14 of the 20 events. The girls scored gold in 3 events and medals in 17 of 20 events! The girls repeat as the NP Invitational champions, and the boys improve on their 3rd place finish from last year.
The Jays saw several personal bests and a new school record in boys javelin. Rylan Richardson set a PR and new school record by throwing the javelin 140'! He improved upon his distance of 117' at the NP meet a year ago. Congratulations to him and the rest of the track squad on a dominant performance.
The Blue Jays head to Smithville tonight to run again, after the meet was moved up due to the forecast of thunderstorms for Friday.
