Even though the Blue Jays gave up three runs in the first inning, they still defeated Plattsburg 15-4, on Thursday.

The Blue Jays secured the victory thanks to eight runs in the fourth inning. The big inning was driven by walks by Pattison and Johnson, singles by Johnson and Basel, Hendricks and Davis, a fielder's choice by Carnahan, and a double by Kleman.

The Jays pulled away for good with four runs in the second inning. In the second, Johnson drew a walk, scoring one run, Heili singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run, and Hendricks doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

The Jays notched eight runs in the fourth inning. The big inning was thanks to walks by Pattison and Johnson, singles by Johnson and Basel, by Hendricks and Davis, a fielder's choice by Carnahan, and a double by Kleman.

Stringer pitched the Jays to victory. He went five innings, allowing four runs on five hits and striking out seven.

Stringer helped himself out by hitting a two-run homer in the third inning.

The Jays racked up 11 hits. Hendricks, Basel, and Kleman all managed multiple hits. Basel and Hendricks both had three hits . The Jays were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error.
