West Platte FFA was represented well at the 91st Missouri State FFA Convention in Columbia, Missouri. On Thursday, April 25th, four students competed in the state soils CDE and the team finished 14th out 50 teams. This is the highest finish for a contest team at the state level for West Platte. Members of the team were Conner Bolch, Hannah Kleman, Liza Suarez, and Julian Trelow.

The accolades kept coming on Friday! Conner Bolch received the Youth in Agriculture Scholarship, on Friday afternoon, the first student from West Platte to receive this honor. The Youth in Agriculture Scholarship is given to students who have been active participants at the Missouri State Fair.

During the fourth and final session of the 91st convention Conner Bolch and Mallory Chambers received their Missouri State FFA Degree. In order to receive your state degree, students must be a well rounded agriculture and FFA Student. They also must have a successful Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE) which requires students to have an agriculture related job. Less than five percent of all Missouri FFA Members receive the state FFA degree.

Congratulations to the West Platte FFA on their success at the Missouri State Convention.
