Track bannerCheck out the heartfelt message from Coach Feiden about the track team. This is his last year at West Platte.

What a day of track and field at the Missouri Class 1 & 2 Championships...these kids have absolutely worked their tails off to reach goals and times that were all just a dream at the beginning of the season.

The boys finished the meet tied for 11th among a tough Class 2 field that featured 59 schools this year. That’s an amazing finish for this group. For the first time in my 5 years, the boys 4 x 8 scores medals and makes the podium in 6th. Max Davies is the Class 2, 1600 champion and runs under 4.30, a career best! He also secured a medal and podium visit in the boys open 800, finishing 4th. Cole Vandel wraps up a fine senior season with a medal and podium spot in the 300H in 6th with a career best and school record of 41.62.

These girls...I really can’t put into words what they’ve done this season. These kids are so fast! I love their spunky attitudes, their sass is next level, but it makes coaching them an absolute blast. I love them all, and they’ve been a pure joy to be around. I don’t even know where to start with their races and times this weekend. Check TRXC timing for the results, there’s too much to list right now. I’m floating on a cloud, soaking up what will be my last track meet with these kids. It’s bittersweet, more bitter than sweet right now, but as today’s events come to an end, I am counting the blessings and smiling because it happened, not crying because it’s over.

Thank you to all the parents for your support the last several years, and to the coaches who have made this season one that I will never forget. It was the best way to go out, on top!

Congratulations to our track team and good luck to Coach Feiden!
