The West Platte Cheer Squad spent the last weekend of July, at The Lodge of Four Seasons at Lake Ozark, preparing for the upcoming sports season.
The squad of 12 members was able to learn numerous cheers, sidelines, and chants while at camp. They were also involved in a number of advanced stunting classes; along with learning a new rally and game-day routine to perform throughout the 2019/2020 school year.
After four days of instruction and team building, the cheerleaders returned home with a coveted spirit stick, a trophy for receiving superior ribbons during all of their practice routines and a 2nd place trophy for their rally routine.
Coach Parsons and Coach Applebury are very proud of the girl's hard work, determination, and perseverance while at camp. The squad is also very excited for the year and cannot wait to see all of West Platte’s wonderful Blue Jay fans in the stands! Go Jays!
