On September 6th, our team participated in the first annual Melon Run. Athletes completed a multitude of exercises while carrying their melons and got to eat them after their hard workout! On September 9th, we had our first team dinner to bond and get energy for our first meet. Thanks to Mrs. Elmore, Mrs. Groom, Mrs. Pattison, Ms. Davies, and Ms. Wolfe for providing the food! Our first meet was last Tuesday, September 10th at North Platte. The girls team had a fantastic first meet and got first place! Julia Pattison won the meet with Hannah Mueller coming in 2nd and Sam Baker sprinting ahead of a girl to get 3rd! Our boys team was down a few members but still managed to get 4th place with Sam Davies coming in 2nd overall. Our next meet is tonight at Staley High School starting at 4:00 pm. Go JH Jays!
