The West Platte junior high boys basketball teams had their first games and home opener on November 5 versus DeKalb. The 7th grade played well for their first game together in junior high, out scoring DeKalb 29 to 8. The 8th grade boys played a close game back and forth and were able to hold off DeKalb with a score of 37 to 36.
Coach McMahon noted that he was proud of both groups of boys for adjusting to new things not yet gone over in practice yet.
