Latest News BannerOn November 16th and December 21st FCCLA volunteered with the Salvation Army and the Ronald McDonald House.   Mrs. Lynch took a group down to Oak Park Mall to ring the bell outside the food court.  The students sang a lot of songs and did a great job collecting money.  They finished the day with bowling at Pinstripes which was a new experience for all of them.   On the first Saturday of Christmas break several students took time out to help serve food to families at the Ronald McDonald Family Room in Children's Mercy Hospital.  Tin Kitchen was AMAZING and donated pulled pork and macaroni and cheese for the event!!  Food was served for 3 hours and over 100 people were served.  Everyone was so thankful and gracious.  After serving food the group walked over to Union Station to look at the Christmas decorations and rode the streetcar to Power and Light to try Guy Fieri's new taco restaurant followed by dessert at Insomnia Cookies.  Both places were also a new experience for all the students.  The group has plans to volunteer at Wayside Waifs and the Noyes Home soon.
