The West Platte High School Band performed last night in the Performing Arts Center. Addison Farley and her pianist, Charles Tsui, started the evening off by performing with her violin. Lea Moose performed a song with her clarinet and then the Jazz Band performed 3 songs. The 6th grade Concert Band played 3 songs and joined with the 7th grade to perform a song together. The 7th grade and 8th grade each performed songs and then the 8th grade joined the high school for a combined song which was written by our student teacher, Mr. Cookingham and conducted by our very own high school senior, Coy Kirby.
The night ended with the high school band performing Hebrides Suite and then a combined song, Pirates of the Caribbean, with the 8th grade.

Mr. Sullivan also handed out two very highly recognized awards to two seniors, Coy Kirby received the John Philip Sousa and Matik Heskin received the Louis Armstrong Jazz award.
