Dear parent/guardian:

It is hard to believe we are in the month of May. We all hope each passing day brings us closer to returning to a more typical routine. Thank you for supporting your student and their teachers these past few weeks, and in the remaining weeks ahead. By working together, we can make this semester meaningful for your student. I wanted to inform you of some important upcoming dates.

·         May 4-Final continuous learning day for seniors-all work due

·         May 15-Final day for new continuous lessons for students grades 7-11

·         May 22-All work due for students grades 7-11

We are making plans for how and when students will return their books, devices, etc., and pick up their belongings. Seniors will be sometime in early May and grades 7-11 will be scheduled sometime after May 21. Specific details will be provided closer to that time.

In regards to graduation, we will continue keeping all options open, hoping to hold a ceremony that retains as much of its customary traditions as possible. We will continue to confer with the Platte County Health department and other authorities as to the particulars of holding this type of ceremony.

Please remember that students who faithfully participate in continuous learning for the remainder of the school year will receive credit. Students will have the opportunity to raise their third quarter grade if they choose, and their third quarter grade will serve as their semester grade. Fourth quarter will be designated PASS/FAIL based on participation in continual learning, but will have no bearing on their semester grade. (Dual Credit courses may be the exception)

Again, thanks for all you are doing for your student. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to better support your student during the coming weeks.
