School Physical Information

Announcement bannerThe Missouri State High School Athletic Association (MSHSAA), in conjunction with their medical board, and the high schools in the state of Missouri, has changed the rule on physicals. A physical is now good for two years from the date it was originally taken. Therefore, any athlete that will be going into grades 8-12 that turned in a physical to the school during this past school year will not need to turn in another physical for the coming school year. We will be keeping the expiration dates on each of the physicals on-line and will notify when the time to renew is coming up.

West Platte and MSHSAA would like to strongly recommend that if there are any histories of health problems, or if there are concerns currently, you continue to get a physical for the athlete each year. Each athlete/parents will still need to fill out the insurance page and the signature pages that have been attached to the physical historically.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Coach Basel at [email protected]. He will do the best he can to answer the questions, however, MSHSAA has said they will send him more information in a couple of weeks.
