The Blue Jays defeated KC Lutheran 16-0, on Friday, as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout.

The Blue Jays fired up the offense in the first inning when Pattison drove in one with a single.

The Jays scored eight runs in the second inning. Davis, Eagen, Johnson, Heili, Pattison, and Basel all drove in runs.

Kleman pitched the Blue Jays to victory. He went two and a third innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out six and walking zero. Stringer threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Blue Jays collected eight hits. Pattison and Basel each had two hits for the Jays.

The Jays play their second District game tonight, at home, against Lone Jack at 5:00 pm.
