Hi Parents,
It is getting to be that time of year, where we need to start looking into plans for summer volleyball. We are wanting to continue to build and grow our volleyball program here at West Platte, and we believe that starts with getting our younger girls involved. We have the opportunity to play in a middle school volleyball league in Gower, at East Buchanan, on Thursday nights in June, the 6th, 13th and 20th. The teams would be incoming 7th and 8th graders, and they would play double headers every night. It is $100/team, and we would like to have 8 or 9 girls on each team. The head coach at East Buchanan is still trying to figure out how many teams that he will have, so times have not been set yet.
This is just for girls that plan to play jr. high volleyball in 7th and 8th grade next year. We would like to see the number of girls that would be interested in playing, so we can see if we even have enough to take a team over. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Guthrie at
